This Saturday is the third Saturday of the month and for Gather Church, that normally means, “The Supper” meal service. Well, this Saturday it still means, “The Supper” but also, much more. In the life of a young congregation like Gather, there are times when adjustments need to be made to the things we are doing and this Saturday marks one of those adjustments. The elders and I have decided, for several reasons, that it wold be great if we combined our Service Worship with our Meal Service. So, that is just what we are doing!
This Saturday we will be meeting at the church building at 1PM to embark on a Service Worship project which will be followed by a meal shared together starting at 5:30PM.
The project this month will be taking place at the Church Building and will be focused primarily on organizing our new clothing bank and toy exchange. Please join us at any point between 1 and 5. Your service would be greatly appreciated.
The Meal Service will kick off at 5:30 and as always, everyone is welcome. Please, even if you were not able to make it to the Service Worship project, do not let that keep you from joining us for the meal.
As I am writing this, I am being constantly reminded of Paul’s words to the Corinthian Church, “In whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” It is my hope that this weekend’s events will truly bring glory to our Maker, Comforter and Redeemer. I hope to see you at some point on Saturday.
P.S. feel free to invite your friends and don’t forget- it is all free!
