Last week we talked about the coming new heavens and new earth inaugurated by, and to be fulfilled by, Jesus. We discussed the call to have such faith in the new creation through Jesus that we risk to live it now. However, that begs at least two questions. What does “living it now” look like and how do we, God’s broken people, actually manage to live it? Simply put, it looks like Jesus and we live it by the Spirit he gave us. For the next few weeks we will be discussing Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount with a series called Upside Up in hopes that we can growingly become reoriented to our Lord’s good and perfect “way” of living humanly.
